Safeguarding Adults in Havering
The SAB must assure itself that local safeguarding arrangements are in place as defined by the Care Act 2014 and statutory guidance. The membership of the SAB is the Havering Council, Health Services, the Police and a range of voluntary organisations that are involved in supporting people who have experienced abuse or neglect. Abuse or neglect can include, physical, financial, mate crime or failure to act to protect someone.
By law, the SAB has to develop a Strategy telling people what we are going to do to help protect and support adults who are at risk of abuse or neglect. To do this, they need to understand what the people who live and work in Havering want done to protect the community.
The SAB asked Healthwatch Havering to carry out a survey on its behalf, giving local people the opportunity to shape the work it will do in the future, therefore helping to keep your friends, family and wider community safe.
